Whether it’s bear-viewing, nature travel, or a wildlife conflict you need help with, I’d like to thank you for visiting.  The fact that you are here means that you care about our relationship to the vanishing wild and want to make sure that you do your part to help learn from and protect it.  I, too, share that relationship with wildlife and the planet alike.  My work as a guide, researcher, and enthusiast can take me all over the world to witness and share some of the most amazing sites ever beheld.

While travel is a huge part of my life, my foremost passion is undoubtedly bears.  Whether Sun bear, Moon bear or Brown bear…I don’t care.  For the past twelve years or so I’ve been an adventure guide in Alaska and Montana and have used that to help fund my study of bear communication that was initially sponsored by National Geographic.  I also have a Master’s in Wildlife and Natural Resources Management, during which I focused on the strategies used to resolve conflicts between humans and bears.  As such, the following pages contain information about each of these topics and more.  Feel free to peruse as you like and don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.  Don’t forget to check out my photo gallery and the ‘Great Links’ page with some fantastic resources as well.

Thanks again,

JimGrass
